Phoenix Red Sox Nation is a group of avid Boston Red Sox fans who gather together at sports bars to cheer on our team! As a native of New England, I was shocked to discover Phoenix was lacking a Meetup group dedicated to the Sox. The Desert Mountain Sangha is a lay-led Zen Buddhist Meditation group. The Sangha is non-affiliated, however, the meditation practice is in the tradition of the Diamond Sangha founded by the late Roshi Robert Aitken. The Sangha was formed to facilitate a means to practice Zen meditation. All persons wanting to participate in an hour long Zen meditation, followed by an optional, half-hour session of sutra chanting are welcome.  The Sangha currently meets at a Yoga Center in Central Phoenix AZ.
